Lunch
LUNCH AND FOOD DROP-OFF POLICY
Students should bring any lunch items with them to school each day that they need for lunch unless they have ordered through www.orgsonline.com .
Drop-off of lunch items is strongly discouraged. If your child’s lunch is dropped at school (after lunch has started), the school lunch coordinator will have already provided a school lunch to your child. The student may pick up these late lunch items at the end of the school day.
Students may not be called from class to pick up any outside food items/lunch items. (Examples: Fast food items)
Food delivery from web-based services such as UberEats, Grub Hub and Door Dash will be denied
Lunch Order Guidelines
The ordering of lunches is completely optional.
ALL parents must create an online ordering account with Orgsonline and must place lunch orders during the specified time a month in advance. You will be responsible for packing your child's lunches for the days they’re not signed up.
Forms will be open the 1st - 25th of each month prior to the month you are ordering. For families who do not have access to a computer at home you may come to the school office to use a school computer and place your child's orders online. We will communicate when order windows open and close via newsletters and on our school’s website. Parents are welcome to pack their child's lunches daily if they wish. Remember the ordering of lunches is completely optional.
Free/Reduced Lunch Program
Families interested in the Free/Reduced Lunch Program will need to stop by the office to pick up an application or download one from the school website. Returning families who were on this program last year will also need to stop by the office to reapply. Each family must complete a new Free/Reduced Lunch form each year to qualify and participate in the program. NOTE: Free/Reduced lunch families also must create an online account and are responsible for placing the child’s lunch order through our online ordering system within the time allowed.
FIRST TIME USERS
The ordering and payment process is done completely on-line.
There are very specific windows of time that you can place an order.
Visit https://www.orgsonline.com and log in as a FIRST TIME USER.
Select the CREATE NEW ACCOUNT option that appears on the left side of the screen under the sign-in box.
Then, when asked, enter our school code, which is 520CCSNC .
Next, provide the account setup information requested and submit that information to activate your account.
SUBMIT AN ORDER
Select ONLINE LUNCH SYSTEM on Orgsonline dashboard
Select PLACE/EDIT LUNCH ORDER.
You will need to submit a separate order for each child (or staff member) that is ordering lunch.
Select on the calendar what days and meals/drinks your child wants for the entire month. SAVE order. (If you have multiple children, please submit an order for each individual child.)
Select change order, place new order, or SUBMIT PAYMENT. NOTE: If you do not pay for your child’s lunch prior to the cutoff date for the month, it will be deleted and they WILL NOT receive lunch for that month.
A confirmation email will also be sent as orders are recorded and each time an order is changed. If you need to amend your order, go ahead. You will not lose what you previously entered. If you receive duplicate order confirmations, do not worry. Duplicate orders are not possible.
OR add multiple orders before selecting the PAY NOW button to submit a payment, under CURRENT BALANCE.
To see what you ordered, log into your account and select VIEW ORDERS. You will see exactly what the system recorded for each student. You can view and PRINT your orders at any time.
You MUST process each order through until you see the Order Confirmation page. Do not stop until you see an Order Confirmation for the order being submitted. The system does not recognize an order until you see the Confirmation Page. We can not process your order if it has not been fully submitted and confirmed.
A Convenience Fee charge will appear when you view the total amount due. NOTE: A “Convenience Fee” helps cover processing fees charged to the lunch program when we accept online payments.
*If you have any questions regarding your payment, select the VIEW PAYMENTS option to see if a payment was recorded to your account. You will see exactly what the system has recorded for your account.
LUNCH RULES
Food will be dispersed to the student that ordered it, ONLY! The student’s friends may NOT pick up food. The only exceptions are when arrangements have been made by a parent with the lunch coordinator. You may call the office and make arrangements if a need arises. If your student is absent and arrangements have not been made, your students food will be offered to the teaching and office staff. K-8 students' food is delivered to their room every day.
PLEASE print out your student’s order from the website and post it where you and your student can refer to it every day. It’s easy to forget what days you ordered food.
Alternate pre-packaged lunches will be provided by the lunch coordinator for students with forgotten, lost, or ruined lunches. You will be notified when your student receives an emergency lunch and lunch fee will be charged to your online account.
Parents may choose to pack their childs’ lunch, snack, and water each day or may choose to pre order and prepay online with the options available by local vendors.
If you are in need of assistance with food for lunch, you can contact our office staff to apply for the free and reduced lunch program.
