Stakeholders are invited to join the School Leadership Team to assist in jointly developing the LEA Parent Engagement Plan and to engage in the development of support and improvement plans.
An annual review meeting will be held during the fourth quarter of each school year to assess the results of the Parent & Family Engagement Survey, review assessment data, and to receive input for school wide programs for the next school year.
We encourage stakeholders to call the S.O.A.R Advantage(Title I) Program Director and/or the classroom teacher with any questions or concerns at any time throughout the school year. It is our hope that each child will have a wonderful learning experience at Crosscreek Charter School.
The School Leadership Team will provide coordination, provide technical assistance, and other support necessary to assist and build the capacity of school staff and stakeholders in planning and implementing effective parent and family involvement activities to improve student academic achievement and school performance, which may include meaningful consultation with employers, business leaders, and philanthropic organizations, or individuals with expertise in effectively engaging parents and family members in education.
The School Leadership Team will work to remove barriers to gain greater participation by parents in school. A concerted effort will be made to follow the developed plan to increase communication and engagement for families who are economically disadvantaged, are disabled, have limited English proficiency, have limited literacy, or are of any racial or ethnic minority background.
The School Leadership Team will involve parents in the activities of the school, which may include establishing a parent advisory board comprised of a sufficient number and representative group of parents or family members served by the school to adequately represent the needs of the population served by the school for the purposes of developing, revising, and reviewing the parent and family engagement policy. Parents and family members of children receiving services under this part shall be involved in the decisions regarding how funds reserved for S.O.A.R Advantage (Title I)Program are allotted for parental involvement activities.
